Over The Town and The City Festival
Van 30 april tot en met 2 mei 2026 neemt The Town and The City Festival zijn geboortestad Lowell, MA volledig in. Meer dan twaalf venues in downtown Lowell — van theaters tot boekwinkels en kroegen — vullen zich drie dagen lang met indie rock, americana, blues, singer-songwriters en meer.
Wat maakt dit festival bijzonder?
Het festival is vernoemd naar de roman van Jack Kerouac, die zelf uit Lowell afkomstig was. Die literaire wortels zijn voelbaar: naast muziek staat er op zaterdag ook een boekpresentatie op het programma bij Lala Books. De zevende editie verdeelt zijn line-up over zalen als het Merrimack Repertory Theatre, Warp & Weft en The Old Court, maar ook over kleine cafés en een gratis buitenpodium op Palmer Street.
